From diet and lifestyle changes to genetic testing, there are some steps you can take to help prevent cancer, says W. Jarrard Goodwin, MD, FACS, chief medical officer of Sylvester and professor of otolaryngology. Silvia Larrieu, who is just 25 years old and has Lynch syndrome, has already started screening for colon cancer. This video will air on the new UHealth TV Network at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

3D medical animation and video clip produced by Virtual Point and Michael Greenspan showing new medical system. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the number two cause of cancer related death in most countries of the world. The Aer-O-Scope™, is a disposable, miniaturized, self-propelling, self-navigating, endoscope incorporating a CMOS camera with unique omni-directional viewing system. Computer controlled pressure management, coupled with sensors in the workstation, adjust balloon size and shape to changing bowel anatomy, thus allowing the pressure-propelled balloon to find its path. The Aer-O-Scope™’s visual system provides simultaneous 360 degree viewing of the colon mucosal surface, potentially eliminating the need for continuous tip manipulation as in colonoscopy, and potentially decreasing the chance of missing polyps hidden behind mucosal folds. An electro-optical capsule is embedded in the front of a lightweight balloon vehicle, while low pressure colon insufflation with CO2 propels the balloon, causing it to glide along the ‘slippery’ colon walls without forceful maneuvering. 3D video animation p;roduced by Virtual Point Multimedia.
Dr. Duane Albrandt of Gastroenterology Associates of York and York Endoscopy Center (www.gastroyork.com) explains the colonoscopy procedure, techniques, results and further treatment. He also shows the scope used during this pain-free 20-minute procedure.
www.nucleusinc.com This 3D medical animation shows the placement of an endoscope in the large colon (bowel) during a colonoscopy procedure to screen for polyps and colorectal cancer. During a colonoscopy or a sigmoidoscopy, a biopsy is sometimes preformed to distinguish between benign and cancerous tissue. If polyps are found during the colonoscopy a polypectomy is generally performed. See more 3D medical animations from Nucleus Medical Art at www.nucleusinc.com ANCE00175
Human Parasites – Round Worm Found in Human Colon This is one of the most disgusting videos I’ve seen. It is a video taken during a routine colonoscopy showing a giant roundworm living in a woman’s colon. The round worm, one of the more common human parasites, was identified as Ascaris lumbricoides. Ascaris lumricoides is a human parasite, specifically a roundworm, belonging to the phylum Nematoda. Disgusting!!! We hear how important it is to get a colonoscopy to prevent colon cancer. Seeing this human parasite living in a woman’s colon made me call my doctor to schedule a colonoscopy. My brother refused to get a colonoscopy until I showed him this parasites video. Send this video along to those you love who might be reluctant to get a colonoscopy. A colonoscopy is essential for everyone over 50 or with any family history of colon cancer. Colon Cleansing with a colon cleanse or colon cleanser is a good idea to clear the body of parasites and for weight loss (although colon cleansing or a colon cleanse is no substitute for a colonoscopy for preventing colon cancer).
