im 19, started smokin a lil bit at 13, than stopped at 15. started last august smokin about 5 a day, than upto 10 cigarettes a day, than in march afta loosin my job, a pack a day, n for da past 2 weeks since my break-up, im at almost 2 packs a day. i dnt c myself stoppin, n my friend told me my lungs r already black…is dat true?

I’ve smoked about 20 something cigarettes in the entire 15 years of my life. I’ve had these small pains on my ribcage area for a few days now but they’re not really THAT painful.. and i’ve lost my appetite a bit, but i still get hungry.. I’m really scared though, but no one in my family has had lung cancer.

My friend started smoking weed, and he says its fine because "its not like it causes lung cancer like cigarettes…"

I smoked 4 cigarettes in the past week and have noticed that ever since I have done that, i have felt mucus in my throat..its even worse when I try to sleep..why is this?

Ok, doing a very detailed paper on schizophrenia. Found in 2 different sources (as well as by my psych teacher) that Schizophrenia sufferers smoke more, due to a chemical in cigarettes that helps stabilize their delusions, ect. If you happen to know what chemical that is, it’d also be great, but what I really want ot know is WHY schizophrenic patients develop less medical issues from smoking, compared to smokers without schizophrenia? Does anyone know why?

My friend has been smoking for 40 years and has a smokers cough in the morning. He says it is not possible to get cancer from pot because cigarettes have all those unnatural additives that cause cancer.Is this correct?
