?? like i know its bad for your brain but does it really like kill your lungs as bad as nicotine?

My sister in law was diagnosed with Stage 4 terminal lung cancer. Inoperable. It has spread to her liver, throat, and parts of her brain I was told. She is 55 and in very poor health. How long does she have? She has decided no treatment for herself.

Stage 4 small cell has just been diagnosed and was found on the brain at diagnosis. Is it pretty much a time to make someone comfortable and prepared? Or does chemo and radiation sometimes work even if it is in stage 4 or is that just a futile effort to preserve life?

I had surgary on lung in 2007 (non-Small cell)
I had 4 sessions of chemo
I had brain surgary 2008
And 1 shot of radiation

my mom has it and the cancer cells have got to her brain and it has been two weeks now that she hasn’t been able to talk or function anything!! i like to know how she’s feeling, she stares at the wall and doesn’t respond, very sad!!
please if anyone with expertise knows how the are feeling inside, i like to know?
